I don’t know where to start? My big 3 tips on how!

We’ve all heard the term, ‘change your habits and you change your life!’, but more often than not, it’s something we find very hard to do or even feel overwhelmed by the thought of starting or simply know where to start. I get it, I really do. When I was really sick, feeling completely overwhelmed by my life, anxious, frustrated and to be honest feeling quite miserable most of the time, I just didn’t know where or how to start. I knew I needed to make big changes with how I was living my life, but the thought of ‘big change’ was what was overwhelming me the most.  This made it hard for me to figure out what steps to take first, then I would loose motivation. Shining New Habits

We all want to achieve greatness in our lives and in order to do this, we need to make and work towards shining new habits. I have been talking a lot about habits of late with clients…well lets be honest, I talk about it a lot in general because it is the core of what I do as a health coach. Habits are at the absolute centre of our behaviours. It’s what, why and how we do what we do. We create patterns that we repeat. Now some of these patterns are good ones, for example; cleaning our teeth, drinking water etc. Some, well not so good….ending up in the same dysfunctional relationships, eating the same foods that don’t make us feel good,  saying yes to things when we really want to say no, etc. When we see the same things in our lives happening time and time again that are not serving us so well.. well, these are patterns we need to recognise and break them. Stop habits that may hold you back!

Are there habits in your life, you would like to stop doing? Are these the very things that may be holding you back from achieving the goals you truly desire? What if there was a simple tool to help us break out of old patterns and move forward with new positive ones? Your life today is essentially the sum of your habits. Habits that have been formed over the course of your lifetime so far. Some good, some bad. How in or out of shape you are…..habits! The kind of food that you do or do not consume…..habits! How happy or unhappy you are…habits! Some habits we have are extremely positive for us. For example; cleaning our teeth- most of us do this every morning and night and don’t even think about it, yet our teeth get cleaned and as a result this habit is great for our dental hygiene. yet, if we don’t do this daily habit, then our teeth suffer and we end with dental issues and hefty dental bills! We are habitual creatures. But …
