New Year, New Beginnings!

Hi and welcome 2017, I am so excited to start this new year, its new goals, hopes and challenges and everything in between. I won’t lie though, the end of last year didn’t quite end as calmly as I would have liked(family medical emergency). But one thing I did do at the closing of last year, was make a big decision that I had been mulling over with for some time and now I’ve made that decision it has left me feeling excited, nervous, positive and weird, all at the same time. What’s that decision? Firstly, let me start by saying that before I set goals for the new year, I always feel it’s important to reflect on what has happened throughout the previous year, success’s, failures, challenges and triumphs then everything in-between before I set new intentions and goals. I like to ask myself- what did I learn from the year/experiences? what could I do differently? would I change a thing if I could? and if I could/can make changes, what would that look like? Are you wanting to take back control and make you the priority you need your body to be? Without good health, you cannot live the incredible life you were born to live. I truly believe that without good food and lifestyle choices, we cannot think, move, function and be at our absolute best. Understanding not only what and how we eat, but also how we choose to live and feel, is essential to our overall wellness. So many people today, live according to what they think they should be doing, instead of what they really want to do. We get bogged down with life’s responsibilities and so often neglect ourselves. For most women, we tend to take on more and more roles than we really need, then these responsibilities begin to wear us down.
